Terms of Service

1. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Nongine cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to maintain the security of your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or guardian's consent.

2. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create with Nongine, including but not limited to story text, characters, artwork, audio, and published novels.

By publishing a novel through our service, you grant us a limited license to host and serve that content to end users. This license terminates when you unpublish or delete the content.

You are solely responsible for the content you create and publish. Do not create or distribute content that is illegal, violates intellectual property rights, or contains harmful material.

3. Free and Paid Plans

Nongine offers free and paid subscription plans. Features and limits for each plan are described on our pricing page.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase if you have not used paid features extensively.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to create or distribute malware, phishing pages, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without our written permission
• Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or bulk-download content from published novels
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Service Availability

We strive to keep Nongine available at all times, but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice.

6. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described therein.

7. Intellectual Property

The Nongine name, logo, and source code are the intellectual property of Nongine. The runtime engine code embedded in exported novels is licensed for free use in your published works.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nongine shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.
